The kids are doing a really good job playing together. I love watching them interact. A couple of days ago this is what I heard. (Ev and Elijah were in Ev's house and her dressing mirror and table are inside with play make up and hair items.)
Elijah- he crawls inside and sits on the stool, opens the mirrors and takes out the pretend lipstick and puts it on his lips and then smacks them together. He does this over and over.
Me- "hey Todd, come here and check this out"
Todd- "he just does that cause he sees Ev doing it"
Ev- she has gone inside the house by this point, she pulls out the pretend compact. "Elijah do you want some yellow eyeshadow?"
Elijah- "yes"
Ev- "okay, now first close your eyes" and she proceeds to put eye shadow on his eyes as he sits there still for her.
Next they put on aprons and play at their kitchen. Ev won't let Elijah wear the non girly one so he has to wear the pink frilly one.
After dinner Ev puts on her Snow white dress but she can't find her high heels because Elijah has them on. They both spend the rest of the night walking around in heels.
We are hoping another boy in the house will balance out the girly things. Although we have plenty of sports equipment, cars and other items. Elijah just wants to do what his big sis is doing when he isn't playing baseball. :) I think one day we will have 2 little boys following big sister around.
The majority of the kids we are around are girls. Our Friday play group is 6 girls and Elijah, the next boy in line is a 9 month old and then there is a 2 month old. Poor guy it's going to be a while before they can play. But since he has his big sis he does really well playing with the girls. I think he is going to be very well rounded and he will understand girls really well.

There is no older sister in our house and my boys wander around in heels and play pretend with girly stuff all the time. I find it a little worrisome, but I know they will grow out of it and girls and girl stuff will be yucky.
