I haven't known what to say about the recent earthquake that took place in our province this week. Our hearts have been heavy as we have been hearing information these past few days.
Our good friends have spent a lot of time in this area. They have invested many years into the people who call Y their home. Just about every friend they have has someone who has died. There are so many circumstances that make my heart ache for them. It is very difficult in the high altitude and mountains to get to this place. Before the earth quake happened they didn't have much to start with. The fact that they do not know Father is one of the biggest things. I can't imagine what it would be have almost all of your town destroyed and for their home to be in such chaos. I can't imagine what it is like to not have hope to cling to when everything seems like there will be no good coming out of this situation. It will take months, even years to rebuild and get semi back to normal.
Several of us think and are asking that NOW is the time for the people of Y. For years and years they have been blinded to the Truth, they have worship idols, they have rejected the One who created them. I am asking that as this earth quake is beyond them, beyond what rescuers and doctors can handle that they will finally see the Light. That they will see that their idols and temples of worship were destroyed but our G will never be destroyed.

A friend told me today that her husband went to find the house of his good friend who had died. The friend's relatives found him and took him to their make shift tent. When the mother saw my friend she wailed and grabbed on tight to him. Their grief is beyond them.
I am asking that they with open arms would reach out to Father and allow him to comfort them. That they would surrender themselves to Him. Will you join me in asking that this is the time for the KT to turn to Father?

If you are interested in knowing more about the relief efforts or seeing pictures of the city after the earthquake to go to yushuearthquakerelief.com

Here in our city, the closest city to the earthquake, several people are being brought in to come to the hospitals around town. T was able to hand out some gift packages yesterday and today and was able to share J with them and why we were doing what we are. The T people are looked down at here so C don't really want to do anything with them. So when white faces are bringing food and other things to them people are amazed. Ask that we would have great opportunities to share J's love and comfort with the people here.
