First Pictures

As far as I can remember these are the first pictures of Elijah Hobs batting.  It is July 2009 so he is just 14 months old.  (He started walking at 12 months then at 15 months started SLIDING!)  It all started here with him picking up the bat.  It was a given that he would love baseball simply because Todd does so much but there is something different about Hobs.  He REALLY loves it and has since he was this little.  He is the most excited player on the field during T ball games, he will sleep with his glove, balls, bat and his baseball hat on and on his own wants to play baseball as much as he can every day.  I haven't seen a kid just over 1 yr like or stay with something like this. 
For those of you who know how much Todd loves the Texas Rangers it is fitting how Hobs was sporting Texas Rangers shorts in this first picture.  Todd is surprising Hobs with tickets to a Rangers game the week before his birthday.  I don't know who is more excited - Todd's dad, him and Hobs will go together to the game.  Three generations of baseball fans together for Hobs' first game.
