Day 1

First T ball Game

Today was the day that Elijah has dreamed about for the past year and a half.  He got to live out his dream of playing in a real baseball game.  He did it with a smile on his face and there was a point when he was at bat and the umpire and coach commented on how excited he was to be there. 
Hobs and Ev played in their first T ball game.  They loved it and we were really proud of them.  We had quite the crowd cheering on the side lines with our t-shirts we had made up with their team name on them.  Hobs would slide into 3rd base where everyone from our team was sitting and he got a great response because it was pretty cute seeing the smallest kid on our team sliding into the base.  When I was in the outfield the coach from the other team even told me he enjoyed watching Hobs sliding. 
Todd enjoyed the game as much as the kids did and he loved telling people about how great his kids did the rest of the day. 

Road Trip

We just got back from our 10 day road trip taking us to a few places in Texas.  We started off going all the way down to San Antonio and stayed there with good friends for a week.  We did some speaking but mostly we enjoyed the company of friends there.  San Antonio is where we started our lives together as a married couple, where we had our first home and where we welcomed our first child.  From San Antonio we went to East Texas where we have some friends and were able to speak over the weekend.  We stayed up late as did the kids but it was worth getting time to talk face to face with friends.  On Sunday after church we headed toward Fort Worth to join our friends where we spoke in their house gathering and then this morning we drove the rest of the way back to Tulsa just in time for the kids to go to their very first T ball practice. 

We have more doctor's appointments this week and then on Thursday we are participating in a conference that is nearly all day until Sunday evening.  Then a day or two after that Todd and I will get on a plane and fly to Hawaii.  Our kids do really well with all we put them through.  Over the last ten days they have slept in 3 places and had their schedules changed and had to sit in car seats for long lengths of time.  They are troopers!  I am hoping they can make it through these next days as we are involved in this conference and then the following week as we are gone. 

We were blessed, encouraged and loved on by good friends and new friends these past days which was exactly what we needed. 

I would post more pictures but I realized that the pictures from the majority of our trip were lost.  We are so sad that we don't have pictures of our time at Sea World.  The kids had a blast and lasted until 5pm!  :(

While we were in Kansas over the weekend we went to one of my friend's wedding.  It was our first time to take the whole crew with us.  I guess this was the wedding to do that since the ceremony was really short.  Evangelia was memorised the entire time and Hobs was too and Ian was just happy to sit in my lap.  Todd and I had a plan B just in case the boys couldn't handle it but we never had to put it into action.  We stayed a bit longer at the reception that we originally thought but I am glad we did.  Ev loved going up to my friend and staring at her dress.  She had to watch every moment of their first dance, them cutting the cake and everything else.  The buffet and cake saved the boys as they got to eat the whole reception.  But there was a moment that frightened me.  The boys and I were standing by the appetizer table while the matron of honor and best man where toasting.  Hobs was playing with these decorated stones on the table I looked up for just a few seconds and then I heard a gasp I look down at Ian as I thought he was choking on something and it hit me... he had swallowed one of the decorative stones.  I asked him if he ate it and he nodded his head.  I quickly pick him up and  run out of the ball room holding him upside down and hit his back to try to dislodge the stone but it was already swallowed.  He had been able to get it down so as I was getting our things together Todd was on the phone with our pediatrician's office.  They told us since it wasn't 1 inch in diameter that it would pass in a few days.  Well I've been looking for it since and have had no success.  However Ian did sit on the toilet and go number 2 so maybe it passed?  These boys are going to make my hair turn gray!
